On behalf of Gorlin Syndrome Group we are providing everyone with the latest news from Pellepharm. This is about the Patidegib Topical Gel Phase III trial.

As previously stated the trial did not yield the expected results in preventing the growth of new BCC’s or reducing the number of surgical procedures needed to remove them. Pellepharm did continue into an open-label extension trial but unfortunately due to funding and Pellepharm has had to stop the trials.

Pellepharm is hopeful to get new funding or a partnership to allow the trials to continue but at present the trials are on hold. The trials so far have allowed Pellepharm to learn an enormous amount about Gorlin Syndrome, more specifically a better understanding of the genetic drivers of BCC development within Gorlin Syndrome.

Pellepharm is thankful for the continued support and commitment to there clinical program and to finding a potential new treatment option for the Gorlin Syndrome community. They are going to keep us updated as there situation evolves and inform us of key developments.
