Is it our Support Group on the Facebook Group or page, the slightly creaky website or the source of solid and reliable information, here or at the end of a telephone when you really need it?
Of course, it is these things but how is it all held together?
In fact, the whole thing is the work of a tiny group of people who work very hard to create the things you see and use, and a lot of other bits, which users don’t generally have to know about.
This little group have together dedicated thousands of hours to GSG, for no financial reward, for more than 20 years. That is a long time for the same few people to conduct the business of a charity. Two of the group, (officially the Trustees and Executive Committee) are in their, early! seventies, so you can start to jump to your own conclusions.
It is time for a change. It is probably time for a lot of changes.
If Gorlin Syndrome Group has ever been of help to you or your family, then it is time to think of how you can help GSG.
At this point there is generally an appeal for money, but this is not about money.
If you live in the U.K. and have experience in the finance or management of any kind of organisation, whether as part of your work or voluntarily, just send a message to (see below*) saying “How can I help?” Because we know you might want to consider first, you’ve got until 1st September. We’ll get back to you after that date.
